Valuation Desk is read by people who have inherited, found or collected something and want to know what it is worth. In 2027 the site will start passing their enquiries to one partner saleroom or dealer per category and region. Join the waiting list and we will talk before anything launches.
How it will work
- A reader sends photographs and a description of one item through the site.
- The enquiry is checked: photographs present, contact details verified, an estimated value above an agreed floor, and a stated intention to sell.
- It goes to one partner that covers that category and that area. Never to more than one.
- Partners pay a flat, agreed price per qualified enquiry, and tell us what happened to it so the checking improves.
Who it suits
Regional salerooms and specialist dealers who are short of consignments in a category and would rather receive a checked enquiry than a cold call. Categories on the site today: silver, books, stamps, coins, medals and probate.
